ALPS stands for Accredited Learning Programmes and was started by Sue Castillon MA who has 30 years experience working with Youth & Community groups. She came to realise that so many people working in the community were not validated & recognised for the professional voluntary work they do and in association with the Open College Network she now runs accredited courses in such things as Citizenship, committee, project & teamwork, networking and social enterprise skills, confidence building, managing diversity, creative management, customer services, training the trainers, sales training and managing staff. This empowers ordinary and extra ordinary people to make a real difference in their own communities and rewards them at the same time with a Nationally recognised REAL qualification. These programmes translate to the corporate & business world, are accredited at NVQ (equivalent) levels 2 & 3 and can really make a difference in the workplace and in your personal life too.
HOWEVER..........now after running ALPS for 8 years Sue has developed a series of resource packs and diversified into training others to deliver the personal, social, health,economic and citizenship education programme. This is underpinned by the wholistic approach and encouraging others into healthy lifestyles.
